LSCA is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization affiliated with the City of Lakewood, one of Washington States most diverse cities. Ethnicities of Lakewood residents include: German, Irish, English, Mexican, U.S., Norwegian, Korean, Italian, French, Filipino, Scotch-Irish, Scottish, Puerto Rican, Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Cuban, and Asian cultures including India and other categories.
Admission to our 2011 Festival is FREE! Lakewood Sister Cities Association (LSCA) is proud to present its 12th Annual Lakewood International Festival, on Saturday, September 24th in the Sharon McGavick Student Conference Center at Clover Park Technical College, 4500 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, Washington. This year’s festival begins at 11:30 a.m. and will feature international musical performances representing all parts of the globe. There will also be a kid’s art and play area, food and market vendors, and prizes.
The festival is free to the public and celebrates Lakewood’s cultural diversity and its Sister City relationships: Sister City with Okinawa, Japan and Bauang, Philippines and Friendship City with Gimhae, Korea and Danzhou, China. This year’s highlighted city is Danzhou, China – we are happy to welcome the Danzhou Municipal Song & Dance Ensemble from China.

The mission of the Lakewood Sister Cities Association (LSCA) is to promote international harmony through people to people diplomacy for meaningful cultural, educational, tourism, and trade exchanges.
